An Introduction to the 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services

The 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) will be held from Wednesday, September 9 to Sunday, September 13 at Shougang Park in Beijing, China. Focusing on the newest developments in services trade and tailored to the nature of this trade and the characteristics of the park’s facilities, this year’s CIFTIS will include exhibitions and displays, business promotion events, achievement releases, and supporting events. The fair will emphasize coordination and interaction across activities to highlight CIFTIS’s role as a trade facilitator.

I. Global Trade in Services Summit

The 2026 Global Trade in Services Summit, co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, and relevant international organizations, is scheduled to take place on the morning of September 9 at Hall 1, Shougang Park. Leaders from China and abroad, as well as heads of international organizations, will be invited to attend and deliver speeches. Executives of multinational corporations will also be invited to participate and speak. The Summit aims to share insights on emerging trends in trade in services, and foster consensus on cooperation and development.

II. Exhibitions and Displays

A thematic exhibition and special exhibitions will be staged. The thematic exhibition will invite provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities of China, international organizers, and foreign countries to showcase new trends, technologies, and achievements in global trade in services. It aims to underscore the distinctive features of services trade and promote the innovative development of the services sector and trade in services. The special exhibitions will focus on key areas such as service-oriented manufacturing, digital trade, and the integrated development of culture, tourism, business and sports. The design of the exhibition spaces will be refined to emphasize interactivity and professionalism. Concentrating on hot topics and trends in the development of trade in services, and targeting sectors with high demand and robust supply, the special exhibitions will cover telecommunications, computer and information services, financial services, cultural and tourism services, education services, sports services, transportation and business services, engineering consulting and construction services, health services and environment and energy services.

III. Forums and Conferences

A series of thematic and special forums will be conducted. Centered on hot topics such as opening-up, cooperation, and innovation in services trade, these sessions will be delivered with authority and professionalism. Government agencies of foreign countries and international organizations will be invited to organize special conferences to promote their development policies, competitive sectors, and cooperation projects.

IV. Business Promotion Events

Foreign countries and regions will be invited to promote their development policies, competitive sectors, and cooperation projects to foster the coordinated development of trade in services, investment, and consumption, thereby amplifying the spillover effects of the fair. International organizations, domestic and foreign chambers of commerce, industry associations, and key enterprises will be invited to hold specialized promotions, demand releases, project matchmaking, venture capital matchmaking, contract signing ceremonies, and exchange activities to identify business and investment leads and promote quality services import and export as well as investment cooperation.

V. Achievement Releases

Debut events, authoritative releases, and service demonstration case releases will be held both offline and online.

1. Debut Events: Fortune Global 500 companies and industry-leading enterprises will release their latest technologies, products, achievements, and applications.

2. Authoritative Releases: Relevant international organizations and industry associations will release authoritative information such as industry standards and specifications, development indices, and development reports.

3. Service Demonstration Case Releases: A selection of outstanding cases representing Chinese service practices, global service practices, technological innovation, business model innovation, green development, and high growth potential will be released.

VI. Supporting Events

Exhibitors and participants will be invited to join business tours, investment promotion events, and cultural experience activities. Premium consumption scenarios for quality services and goods will be created, along with interactive experience activities including sports events, cultural performances, and e-sports.
